Aerodesigns started in 2003 as a small design group. Shortly after that, they released their A340-300 and A300-600R for FS2002. In 2004, Aerodesigns released a highly detailed A318-100 for FS2004, along with their ambitious "Weekly Update Program". Like many ambitious aircraft design groups in the past, Aerodesigns closed the doors. The base package installs the Airbus house livery and Air France livery. Download the Frontier Livery Pack for 7 different Frontier liveries. Other liveries can be found on the AVSIM Library, but there aren't many A318 operators yet, so most of them are fictional.
Their A318 is a beautifully designed aircraft with Eric Marciano's advanced A320 Panel, virtual cockpit and cabin. The flight dynamics are well balanced and it flies quite well. Other features are: Animated window wipers (automatically activated when it is raining, visible from virtual cockpit and exterior), engine maintenance mode (see last screenshot), animated extending and retracting main landing-lights (automatically activated when the lights are toggled) and automatically activated wing vortices.
NOTE:
If you don't like the vortices, you can disable them in the aircraft.cfg:
Open the aircraft.cfg file with a text editor like notepad and search for this:
[smokesystem]
smoke.0 = 1.2, -19.9, 41.7, AD318_vapor
smoke.1 = 1.2, -19.9, -41.7, AD318_vapor
Place "//" for the smoke.0 and smoke.1 enties like this:
[smokesystem]
//smoke.0 = 1.2, -19.9, 41.7, AD318_vapor
//smoke.1 = 1.2, -19.9, -41.7, AD318_vapor
Save the file.
If you change your mind and you want to restore the effect, just remove the "//". |
