Tinmouse II Boeing 737-200Adv
FREEWARE
The Boeing 737 is a popular medium-range, narrow body commercial passenger jet aircraft. The 737-200 is an extended version of the initial version, the Boeing 737-100 which is the smallest of all 737 variants. Only 30 737-100s were ordered and delivered, none of them are in service or in airworthy condition anymore. Despite the poor fuel efficiency and high noise emissions of the Pratt & Whitney JT8D low-bypass ratio turbofan engines, many 737-200s are still in service of low cost airlines and in developing countries.

This Tinmouse Boeing 737-200 is a detailed replica of its real world counterpart. The package contains a few different models and liveries. An advanced panel is included, but the default fs panels can be used too if you don't want to read a big manual, which is recommended if you plan to use the advanced panel. All the usual animations are present, like opening doors.

NOTE FOR FSX USERS: This aircraft works fine in FSX. However, you might find it impossible to open the doors and the smoke effect does not work (It actually will, but the smoke will not appear at the right location behind the aircraft) and neither will the panel.

This is what you should do if you want to use this aircraft in FSX:

1. Extract the contents of the model pack (tinmouse2_b732_modelpack.zip) to a temporary folder. Inside the "Aircraft" folder you find the folder "B737-200_TM2". This folder should be copied to the Airplanes folder of FSX (e.g. C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\SimObjects\Airplanes\ ).

2. Extract the contents of the v.1.2 pack (tinmouse2_b732_v1_2.zip) to a temporary folder. Inside the "Aircraft" folder you find the folder "B737-200_TM2". The contents of that folder should be copied to C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\SimObjects\Airplanes\B737-200_TM2\

3. Now, in C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\SimObjects\Airplanes\B737-200_TM2\ there is a folder named "panel". In this folder, you'll find the file named "panel.cfg". Open this file in a text editor and you'll see this:

[fltsim]
alias=fsfsconv\panel.b732ADV

Since the panel will not work in FSX, you have to use a default panel. Change it to:

[fltsim]
alias=B737_800\panel

Now save the file.

Next time when you start FSX, the aircraft should be visible in the aircraft selection list and work fine. If you like to see a thumbnail image for each livery, you need to make a screenshot of each livery of the aircraft and resize it to 256x128 pixels (use an image editor like photoshop, paintshop or whatever you prefer). Make sure the image format is JPG and name each of them "thumbnail.jpg". Then copy the image to each texture folder inside the aircraft folder (e.g. \B737-200_TM2\texture.TF ).
