Aircraft Dim On Selection

Hi all,

I have a problem.

In the Create a Flight screen, when I click the Change button (Under Selected Aircraft), and select my aircraft, the aircraft shows up fine, as shown below...

However, when I click OK, and return to the Create a Flight screen, the aircraft seems to lose reflections and goes dim, as shown...

It also stays dim in flight.

My aircraft settings are at High and all the other settings are default. This continues to happen after three reformats (over a year), and at least five reinstalls, and it's annoying, since I can't see the aircraft in their full glory...

Any and all help would be much appreciated.

Do you have that problem with all aircraft?

Yep, defaults, add-ons, including PMDG 744 and Level D 767.

As noted, problems continue after three reformats.

Looks like a hardware problem or perhaps the software of your video card. That's all I can think of...

But it displays okay before selection, so it does have the capability to play it properly.

How much hardware rendered lights have you set in the display settings?

[Asad]

Hardware rendered lights are at 6.

Well...I've no idea then, must be something with the videocard.

Don't have a video card mate, it's an integrated Intel chip.

Hmm well, those onboard cards are not the best. Do you have FSX? And if so, do you have the same problem?
