Flightplan and GPS tutorial video (FS2004)
description
This video shows how to fly a STAR (Standard Terminal Arrival Route) by using the Garmin GPS 500. Major airports have one or more of these STARs. You can find the charts of these instrument procedures on https://www.airnav.com. Note that AirNav.com doesn't have charts for airports outside the USA. For this tutorial, we will use the TEDDY THREE arrival of Theodore Francis Green State Airport (KPVD) at Providence, Rhode Island, USA.
We will generate a flightplan in FS2004 and edit it by using the information on the chart. The video also shows how to select and activate an approach with the Garmin GPS 500 and lookup the ILS frequency.
