Eaglesoft Cessna Citation CJ1

review

The Cessna CitationJet CJ1 (Model 525) is a short range, light business jet aircraft, developed as a replacement for the Citation and Citation I. The CJ1 improved on the CitationJet by adding a more-modern EFIS avionics certificated for single pilot operation and a moderate increase in maximum takeoff weight. There is also a CJ2 (Model 525A), which is a faster and more powerful development.

The Eaglesoft Development Group developed many general aviation aircraft and corporate jets for FS2004 and FSX. Their CJ1 is a detailed, but frame rate friendly model. The package comes with six liveries, panel, virtual cockpit and cabin + wingviews, sounds and a full and lite model. The lite model doesn't have anything modeled in the vc mode and also a modified panel to increase the performance. However, the full version isn't a frame rate killer on today's computers, either.

Many cockpit systems are simulated, although the FMC is very simple and doesn't have much functionality. The majority of the sub-panels look alright but some are a bit blurry due to a low texture resolution. The virtual cockpit looks nice and all buttons/switches that are clickable on the 2d panel are clickable in the vc as well. The virtual cabin looks nice too, with the wings and engines visible through the windows and adjustable seats. All usual animations are present and there are a few special animations such as the maintenance mode (screenshot 8).
