Eurowings A320
review
The Eurowings A320 is part of the Eurowings 2004 / Commuter Airliners package that contains many regional aircraft, but is also available together with the A319 and Nice - Cote d'Azur airport scenery. The package contains the A319 and A320 in CFM and IAE version, sound sets for both engine variants, 11 liveries for the A319, 16 liveries for the A320, flight planner, load editor and an external Boeing FMC.
First, the design of this A320 is not one of the best out there. The nose looks a bit weird, not like the real A320 at all. All animations like the control surfaces, flaps, spoilers, etc are working ok. Many systems are simulated, although not all of them are typical airbus. Some features of the A320 series like CMB, FLEX, TOGA, etc are not simulated. Especially the FMC is not typical airbus, because an external Boeing 737 FMC is used. The TCAS system works very well, although the switches of TCAS are not clickable.
The 2d panel looks nice with clickspots here and there to show the overhead panel, radio stack, etc. Users with wide screen resolutions might see a black area on the right side of the EFIS displays, but that doesn't affect the functionality. The window wiper switches on the overhead panel are nice, but why are there no wipers moving on the exterior? There is also a puchback panel that has buttons to control the pushback movement, direction and open some of the doors. During pushback, a simple pushback tug shows at the nose wheel.
There is no virtual cockpit included, but only a wingview. One wingview to be precise, only the left wing has been modeled in the virtual cockpit mode. The flight dynamics are not bad, however the approach speed is a bit slow. The CFM and IAE engine sounds are nice, but if you don't like them, there are always freeware sound packages on websites like AVSIM.

I like this 320, its part of the Eurowings Pro 2 Package of about 4 aircraft, in order to keep it realistic, but prevent the user having to work about 3 different types of FMC the Flight 1 Smith unit is used, its a good FMC as its really easy to update the AIRAC data on itAdd a Comment
