Dreamwings ERJ-135/140/145
review
The ERJ 135 is a regional narrow body commercial passenger jet aircraft produced by Embraer, a Brazilian aerospace company. The ERJ-135 is a 11.7 feet (3.6 m) shorter version of the ERJ-145 and has 95% parts commonality with the ERJ 145. The ERJ 145 was launched at the Paris Airshow in 1989 as a stretched and turbofan-powered (Rolls Royce Allison AE3007 engines) modification of the EMB 120 Brasilia. The ERJ-135 was launched on September 16, 1997 and first flew on July 4, 1998. The first delivery was to Continental Express on July 23 1999. The ERJ 140 was introduced in September 1999, first flew on June 27, 2000 and entered commercial service with American Eagle Airlines in July 2001. The ERJ 140 is also based on the ERJ 145 with 96% parts commonality and the same crew type rating.
Dreamwings Design is developer of many regional aircraft for FS2004. Their Embraer ERJ-135/140/145 series are simple but frame rate friendly aircraft. All usual animations are present plus opening doors. There are no panel, virtual cockpit or engine sounds included. Various models are available: the ERJ-135, 140, 145 and the 145XR, plus models with air stair or sliding door. The rudder effect and landing gear animations are all ok, but the flight dynamics are not very easy. It is difficult to keep a constant decent rate on approach.
