Premier ERJ-190
review
The ERJ-190 is a regional narrow body commercial passenger jet aircraft produced by Embraer, a Brazilian aerospace company. The Embraer 170/190 project was announced in February 1999. The first flight occurred in 2002 and the airliner entered service in March 2004. The Embraer 190 is powered by twin under-wing General Electric CF34-10E engines controlled by a redundant Full Authority Digital Engine Control (FADEC). The aircraft has a range of 2,200 nautical miles cruising at Mach 0.82 and carrying around 98 passengers.
Premier aircraft designs developed this simple Embraer ERJ-190 add-on for both FS9 and FSX. The exterior is not that detailed and the engines are very simple with ridiculous looking jet-fans. The textures aren't that good either with too much reflection and lack of detail. The engine sound is nice, especially in the interior. The model comes with 2d panel and virtual cockpit, but both of them are very simple with many default gauges and low resolution textures. It feels a bit like going back in time, like going back of the FS2002 days.
All usual animations are present, however, the landing gear is unrealistic. The wheels are floating on takeoff and landing and there is no suspension. Don't expect realistic flight dynamics either, a simple stall test revealed some unrealistic behavior of the aircraft. Too bad that there are no freeware alternatives, so for a nice ERJ-190, the Wilco E-Jets Series are the only option for now.
