Allied FS Group King Air 300
review
The Beech King Air 300 is a fast turbo prop aircraft with a cruising speed of up to 315 knots. The King Air 300 is a descendant of the very popular B200 and was first flown in October of 1982, only 14 months after the project was developed. The King Air 300 is pressurized and can carry up to 9 passengers with a 1 or 2 man flight crew and has a range of 1,960 nautical miles. The B300 model is still in production today (as the "King Air 350", the "Super" being dropped in 1996.
FS Allied group developed this King Air 300 add-on for FS9, but it also works well in FSX. The exterior is very detailed and the textures are well done. The 2D panel looks a lot like the default King air 350 panel. The virtual cockpit looks nice, with many buttons and switches clickable. A passenger cabin is also modeled in the virtual cockpit and the wings can be viewed through the cabin windows. The maintaince/parking mode (screenshot #6) is automatically activated when the engines are shut and the parking brake is on.
The Allied FS Group has clearly a good eye for detail, which they already proved with their awesome Caravelle! However, the engine sounds could use some improvement. It's difficult to hear the difference between RPM of the engines, which isn't realistic. Of course, you can always use the default King air sound instead.

This is an excellent aircraft, and highly suggested! The VC is kind of lacking, but other than that, its very very good!on 07/28/2009 at 15:56:54
