Thomas Ruth FSX Version AN-225

review

The An-225 Mriya is a cargo jet aircraft for over-sized payload, built by the Antonov Design Bureau. The An-225 is a enlargement of the An-124 Ruslan and the largest flying airplane ever built. The An-225 is equipped with 6 Lotarev D-18 turbofan engines. Originally designed for the Soviet space program to airlift the Buran space shuttle, but is now commercially available for carrying ultra-heavy and oversized freight. The An-225 can carry up to 250,000 kg (550,000 lb) inside the plane or 200,000 kg (440,000 lb) on the upper fuselage. The An-225 is considerably larger than the A380 and Boeing 747 and with a takeoff run of 3,500 m (11,500 ft) with maximum payload, it can only operate from very long runways. There is only one An-225 right now, but a second one will be completed soon.

The new Thomas Ruth AN-225 is a major improvement over the prvious version. One obvious Improvement is the model, it now has cleaner lines. Both the normal and the shuttle piggyback version is included in the package. But unlike the previous version, this AN-225 has a Simple panel and a simple but good looking VC with 6-Engine gauges. There is no Wingview, but who needs it anyway, in this FSX version, we have very nice aircraft views.
